NEWFOUNDLAND & LABRADOR
Narrated color slide presentation
by Gerry Lemmo

Those hardy folks that call this place home, are mostly descendants of fishermen from across the Atlantic.  As a matter of fact, the first Europeans to visit this region were also the first to step foot on North American soil, long before Columbus.  They were the Norsemen.

See the reconstructed site of a Viking village where Norse adventurer, Leif Ericson and his crew built their longhouses.  Photos detail the exteriors and interiors of these ancient homes, originally built 1,000 years ago.
